My name is Rob.

I am a freelance composer working across many mediums but specialising in writing for stage and screen. I have written many musicals and soundtracks over the past 25+ years and, being fascinated by music technology, I continue to find new inspiration and challenge in each new project.

I have taught at secondary school level for too many years to count and I have been a successful subject leader of music  in both the independent and state sector in the UK.

I have written scores for plays and musicals in the UK and in the USA and I have worked extensively with youth theatre companies in England, Scotland and in New York.

I am a playwright and an experienced adapter of Shakespeare for contemporary theatre.

I am available for commissioned work as a composer, songwriter or arranger in traditional, electro-acoustic and contemporary styles. 

I am available to lead workshops, musically direct (or theatrically direct) shows.

I am available to create rehearsal recordings/teach tapes or audition backing tracks for performers.
